You’ve earned more than your fair share of tooting, Andy.

If I start slugging back scotch now, maybe I can eradicate the memory of ever having read that exchange.

Try distracting yourself with the question of how one earns *more* than one’s fair share of anything.

Why do you have to share these things?

If I were Amanda Marcotte, I would somehow express surprise that a libertarian could find autofellatio gross, and somehow imply that autofellatio was, indeed, the metaphorical core of libertarian ideology.

Except that, of course, I would say it much more entertainingly/offensively.

Y’know, maybe I should actually leave such things to Amanda herself, so that I don’t end up writing excruciatingly dull summaries of what I speculate she’d write as I’m doing now.

So…. anyone want to hear my speculations about what Ezra Klein would write about this from a health care perspective regarding the spinal health risks of this practice in terms of risk pooling and adverse selection? That’ll make my Amanda summary-speculations seem reeeeeal exciting by contrast.

I think the grossness transcends ideology.

Well, I think the point is, a libertarian can believe autofellatio should be perfectly legal and still find it disgusting, especially in the context of an exchange between Andy McCarthy and K-Lo.

I dimly remember an old John Derbyshire article where he mentioned that some work of ancient Chinese literature actually uses “playing the flute” as a euphemism for, well, y’know. Though not the do-it-yourself version.
