First Against the Wall When the Revolution Comes

I can only assume I’ll be making this list once the piece Dave Weigel and I co-authored hits the Reason Web site later today…

Update: Ok, more like tomorrow…

Damn, I wish we liberals had such a list. I guess the price an ideology pays for political relevance is eschewing such harsh litmus tests. *sigh*

It’s a wiki. Is it cheating if I put myself on there?

Ron Paul will be executed for siding with the State against Ron Paul!

  • 4 digamma // Jan 14, 2008 at 12:20 pm

It’s gone. Can somebody summarize what it said?

  • 5 Kevin B. O'Reilly // Jan 14, 2008 at 3:19 pm

digamma, it was a list of about a dozen bloggers and writers who criticized Ron Paul’s handling of the newsletter controversy. It was called the “Libertarian War Crimes Tribunal,” and the charge was “”Siding with the State’s Thought Control in the Ron Paul Newsletter Affair.”

I didn’t see it but why am I not surprised. According to the Doughfaces, we are already neocon warmongers shilling for the state (or pawns for the evil and crazy homosexual Tom Palmer).

Did someone get a screenshot of it?

Ooh, was I listed? That would make my day, and inflate my already over-inflated ego.

  • 8 Terrence Watson // Jan 14, 2008 at 7:48 pm

Ooh, am I on the list? Am I? It would make my day!

Where’s your statist fellow traveling article, Cosmotarian?

  • 10 Greg Newburn // Jan 14, 2008 at 8:55 pm

haha, suckers. I was on the original! I think it’s my one and only contribution to libertarianism…

  • 11 Greg Newburn // Jan 14, 2008 at 9:03 pm

This link has a copy of the original:

Well, I suppose I can console myself for not making the list through recognition that I once interned under Greg Newburn, the laziest, bestest boss ever.

I did see Brad’s page. Silliness.

Julian didn’t make the list, but he did get someone’s attention:

Looks like he made a new friend. Enjoy! eek

    Micha, two things.

    1. You’re confusing “lazy” with “talented.” What might take an ordinary man 2 hours, I finish in, say, 30 minutes, which creates an illusion that I’m not really doing anything, when in fact I’ve done all I’m expected to do, and more. Sure, I could’ve written something, or “networked” or whatever, but I was just fine with the way things were, and I think I did well enough.

Except with respect to those fucking newspapers, for which my frustration eventually drove me out of that glass building (for good).

Plus, I’m fairly certain none of my colleagues really liked me anyway, which didn’t create much incentive to go out of my way. The “beltway” libertarians never liked me, and Auburn hates me. I guess I’m out.

    2. Did YOU really just call ME lazy?

That was a good piece. I say you are spared when the rEVOLution comes after the counter-rEVOLutionaries.
