I finally caught the BBC import Hustle, about a team of stylish grifters, now being aired in the U.S. on AMC. It’s very good indeed; catch it if you can. It combines the fun aesthetic of the Ocean’s 11 remake and its sequel with the more competent plotting and characterization of con movies like The Spanish Prisoner (though without Mamet’s often stilted dialogue). It’s on an annoying schedule—Friday and Saturday nights, with occasional late-night reairings during the week—but catch it if you can.
