One nit pick I have is your focus on the changes in the amount of information rather than the widespread nature of third party involvement.

In the information age there are both many third parties now involved in common transactions, and how their involvement is essentially invisible to the user. Just by hitting submit in a moment, I’m sending information across I don’t know how many computers owned by people I don’t know. The foundational principles of our law still contemplates a much different world.
