If they were getting guidance from the posters, or the moderators, the commenters would be even worse off. The phrase ‘dead-ender’ comes to mind.

The commenters at Redstate don’t seem to be getting much adult guidance from the posters. I’ve been watching Redstate, Powerline, ACE, Malkin, LGF, and a few others pretty closely for the last few weeks (I’m curious how daily events affect what they say and seem to think in comparison to lefties like me) and, while there’s plenty to be said about each of those sites and their contributors – Erick Erickson stands out particularly for his lack of any seeming insight or self-awareness. It’s hard to understand how that site has managed to attain any sort of status, given how dumb the posts tend to be.

My favorite response is from the guy likening saying McCain has already lost to, “I’m sure someone has already said this but my first thought is Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor?”
