I actually thought Zarm was a potentially really interesting character -- the idea of another Earth avatar who represents the ugly side of the fuzzy-wuzzy ecoharmony, the fierce Darwinian struggle for survival and reproduction from which it all emerges. I don't think they ever actually DID anything interesting with that -- the real shame of that show was that they would occasionally brush up against something fascinating like that, but didn't (and probably couldn't, in a kiddie cartoon) follow through.
