The only thing worthwhile about AM is the jumbo slice pizza.

I have to stick up for Angles in Adams Morgan. That bar is totally out of place, usually pretty quiet, and they used to have a great burger and a beer special on Sunday nights. Much more like the Raven than pretty much any other establishment on 18th street.

I must say in defense of the Brickskellar that I was in there in the summer of 96 and ordered something only to have the waiter tell me about a new beer they’d gotten which wasn’t on the menu but which I might like even more. He was right – I liked it even more. He’s probably long gone, but if they still have service like that sometimes then they deserve their props.
