I’m having a hard time thinking of any situational contexts that are remotely like being President. My first instinct is to ask about candidates’ crisis management skills — can this person make rational decisions when information is limited, lives are at stake, and most everyone else is panicking? But this probably doesn’t work both ways — someone who panics in a crisis probably shouldn’t be President, but not everyone who can manage a crisis effectively should be.
